We have good news to report regarding an exclusive story that aired on Tuesday night. Thanks to the generosity of you, our viewers, a woman suffering from multiple sclerosis is getting the wheelchair she desperately needs.
Lucy Takos was diagnosed with MS six years ago. We're glad to report she'll soon have a new wheelchair so she can get around.
Her old wheelchair, and all other belongings, is locked in private storage in a dispute with the Middletown Prespeyterian Church in Media, Delaware County.
Takos and her family were evicted from the church parsonage because her husband lost his job and they couldn't pay rent for seven months. Takos can't get into the storage facility until a $14,000 moving bill is paid.
If you would like to help Lucy Takos, send CBS 3 an e-mail (email@example.com).
