My name is Helen Spinks. As part of my training as a doctor of clinical psychology I have chosen to research how people with multiple sclerosis think about and cope with their illness.
My research has been approved by the Research and Ethics Committee. I hope the results will provide useful, practical information about how people with a diagnosis of MS can cope in a way that is meaningful and helpful to them.
The study will form part of my doctoral dissertation and will be submitted to a professional journal. A summary of the outcome will be available to participants.
If you would like to take part in the research or would like more information, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
or write to:

You will be sent a Participant Information Sheet, which will answer most questions, a FREEPOST envelope and the questionnaires. If you agree to participate, all you need to do is complete and return the questionnaires in the FREEPOST envelope. You do not have to give your name and all information is anonymous and confidential. Questionnaires will be identified by codes, and no identifying information can be traced back to individuals.
I hope that you will feel able to help and look forward to hearing from you.
