Gentiva Health Services today announced
that its Phoenix-based Rehab Without Walls program has been awarded an
additional accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation
Facilities.
According to Gentiva officials, CARF
earlier this year issued a three-year accreditation to the Phoenix RWW
program for its outpatient medical rehabilitation program.
This new CARF accreditation, also
issued for a three-year period, has been issued to the Phoenix RWW home
and community-based program, according to a Gentiva statement released
today.
Founded in 1991, Rehab Without Walls
provides comprehensive neurological and cognitive-based rehabilitation
services to clients in home and community-based rehabilitation settings.
It treats clients who have had diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury,
spinal cord injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, aneurysm,
meningitis and others.
Gentiva Health Services, Melville,
N.Y., provides specialty pharmaceutical and home health care services.
The company reported $1.5 billion in 2000 revenue.
