Phoenix program gains accreditation

16:51 EDT Friday

Gentiva Health Services today announced that its Phoenix-based Rehab Without Walls program has been awarded an additional accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

According to Gentiva officials, CARF earlier this year issued a three-year accreditation to the Phoenix RWW program for its outpatient medical rehabilitation program.

This new CARF accreditation, also issued for a three-year period, has been issued to the Phoenix RWW home and community-based program, according to a Gentiva statement released today.

Founded in 1991, Rehab Without Walls provides comprehensive neurological and cognitive-based rehabilitation services to clients in home and community-based rehabilitation settings. It treats clients who have had diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, aneurysm, meningitis and others.

Gentiva Health Services, Melville, N.Y., provides specialty pharmaceutical and home health care services. The company reported $1.5 billion in 2000 revenue.
