DENVER -- Anna Kournikova, who pulled
out of the U.S. Open because of a foot injury, is scheduled to play Monica
Seles in November at the MS Tennis Classic.
The popular Kournikova has never won a tour singles event, but marketing analyst Dean Bonham believes her presence will guarantee a sellout crowd at the event Nov. 29.
"Instant. Put it down. Mark it. Put it in the bank," said Bonham, chief executive officer of the Bonham Group. "And you know what? They aren't going to care who wins."
The event, set at the University of Denver, will benefit the Colorado Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Rocky Mountain Center for Multiple Sclerosis.
