This back-to-school season it pays to be blue -- blue jeans that is -- as "Undress for MS -- Yahoo!(R) Celebrity Jeans Auction" kicks off today on Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO). Through the special Multiple Sclerosis (MS) awareness campaign, people can jump into the celebrity jean pool and raise awareness and funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Southern California Chapter by bidding on signed, well-worn celebrity jeans and/or apparel on Yahoo!(R) Auctions (http://auctions.yahoo.com). (See related video available on Yahoo! Broadcast at http://webevents.broadcast.com/yahoo/undressedforms).

More than 70 celebrities autographed and donated their jeans to be auctioned on Yahoo! Auctions, one of the largest, globally-branded free auction sites on the Internet, to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Southern California Chapter. All monies raised will be dedicated to ending the devastating effects of MS and to promoting and providing critically-needed programs and services to individuals living with MS.

"Working with communities to help find a solution, raise awareness, and deliver meaningful messages in a fun and entertaining way has always been an integral part of Yahoo!," said Rich Godwin, brand manager, Yahoo! Auctions, Yahoo! Inc. "Through this charity auction, people can connect with their favorite celebrity and at the same time make a real difference in the fight against MS. Together with the support of more than 70 celebrity participants, the National MS Society and Fox Films, Yahoo! Auctions can provide much needed assistance for people and families affected by multiple sclerosis."

"Everyday more than a third of a million Americans face an incredible challenge: learning to live with an unpredictable and often devastating disease -- Multiple Sclerosis," said Tom Sherak, board member, Southern California Chapter, National MS Society, and chairman, 20th Century Fox Domestic Film Group. "This charity auction is a unique collaboration and a wonderful example of the incredible generosity and compassion of the entertainment industry. Yahoo! has enabled us to reach out to a global community through Yahoo! Auctions and thus given us a more far-reaching voice. Together, we can work to raise funds and increase awareness of MS. We can embrace the ultimate challenge -- to find a cure and to make it easier for people with MS to live independently."
