Multiple Sclerosis Society
Two thousand people are expected to attend the first UK convention and exhibition for people affected by multiple sclerosis at the ICC in Birmingham on Friday and Saturday (24 and 25 October). The largest and most comprehensive event of its kind ever staged in this country will give them the opportunity to meet MS researchers face to face.
The convention is being staged by the Multiple Sclerosis Society as part of its 50th anniversary 'Striking Back at MS' programme. There will be two full day conference programmes, divided into a range of topic sessions on research and living with MS. Visitors will also be able to seek advice from specialists in services ranging from mobility and insurance to yoga and holidays.
The Lord Mayor of Birmingham is hosting a civic reception for the MS Society at the Council House on Thursday evening.
The MS Society is organising the convention in collaboration with the
Association of British Neurologists, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists
and the MS Specialist Nurse Association.
