UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2000--A National Art & Music Tour Exhibiting the World's Largest & Most Unique Collection of Art Created By Legendary Rock & Roll Musicians, Joined by A Photographic Journey of "Classic Rock & Other Rollers" By World Famous Rolling Stone Photographer, Baron Wolman, and Featuring Over 150 Original Paintings By Children From the NMSS Art Education Project
"MS Through The Eyes Of A Child"
Stereo Vision Entertainment Inc. is happy to announce it has received the green light from Arney Rosenblat, Public Affairs Director at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), for the "Miracles For MS Tour."
Stereo Vision will launch this tour at its Jannus Landing venue in St. Petersburg, Fla. on Saturday, December 16 and 17 with live performances and artwork by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Marty Balin, founder of Jefferson Airplane and current lead singer of Jefferson Starship, as well as an extraordinary exhibit of art on display at the Florida International Museum, from the collections of and imagemakersart.com, featuring original paintings and limited edition prints from other rock legends, including Eric Burdon of The Animals, Jerry Garcia, David Bowie, Michael Clarke of The Byrds, Bob Dylan, John Entwistle of The Who, Robby Krieger of The Doors, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Donna Summer and Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones.
As an added feature, the art exhibits will include selected works from the NMSS Art Education project, "MS Through the Eyes of a Child," a collection created by children whose parents are suffering with the challenges of multiple sclerosis.
This twelve month project will incorporate both the musical and artistic talents of some of Rock & Roll's greatest legends as they tour the nation to raise funds for MS research and help increase awareness of this life altering disease, whose effects not only claimed the life of rocker Ron Lane, a founding member of the band "Faces," but have also stricken many other members of the entertainment community.
The reality of this crippling disease was brought home to everyone in the Stereo Vision family when 2 years ago our partner Victoria Silliphant, in the very prime of her life, was diagnosed with MS. While her dignity and courage has been inspirational to everyone at Stereo Vision, we all know she suffers greatly.
But in typical Victoria fashion she has enthusiastically agreed to be Stereo Vision's National Spokesperson for this tour. She will work in concert with Susan Paul, Special Events Director, and an ever-growing list of artists and musicians contributing to the effort.
Stereo Vision chairman Tom Noonan acknowledged, "We want to give a special thanks from everyone in the Stereo Vision family to Marty Balin for lending his song 'If Only You Believe In Miracles' for the tour's theme and his continuing support for these charitable ventures."
