E-Commerce Site Represents First Phase of Internet Sales Strategy BAY SHORE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 6, 1999--Frisby Technologies, Inc., (Nasdaq: FRIZ - news) the developer of patented ComforTemp® DCC(tm), the number one brand of dynamic thermal management materials, today announced the launch of SteeleVest.com, its first e-commerce web site to market and sell its cooling vests for medical, industrial and military applications. The Company said that this e-commerce web site is the beginning of an integrated strategy that will be extended to promote the sale of products featuring its branded thermal management materials, ComforTemp® and Thermasorb®. Full details on the overall corporate Internet strategy are expected to be announced within the next 60 days.

SteeleVest® products provide up to four hours of cooling. The growing family of cooling vests are all light weight and adjustable for a snug, but flexible fit. SteeleVest's patented system is already used by workers facing extreme heat conditions in the military, utilities industry, hazardous waste sites and many other industrial environments. SteeleVest® products can also be used to deliver cooling for certain medical conditions such as multiple sclerosis.

Greg Frisby, Chairman and CEO, said, ``The launch of SteeleVest.com is an important milestone for us. When we acquired SteeleVest® in February 1999, we recognized that the Internet would be an excellent marketing vehicle for these products. We have now created informative, user-friendly sites - in Spanish and English through which global customers, both corporate and individual, can evaluate and purchase our entire current SteeleVest product line.''

``The SteeleVest® web site represents the first step toward an aggressive use of the Internet as a key part of our marketing and support efforts with our licensees and retail customers. The Internet is clearly one of the most cost-effective ways of reaching consumers in our target markets with information about our ComforTemp®, Thermasorb®, and SteeleVest® products. By combining e-commerce with our ongoing and successful sales and marketing efforts, we expect to continue our rapid brand recognition and market penetration.''
