Veteran defender Brian Irvine revealed he joined Falkirk at Brockville some 17 years ago to the day as a trialist as he hit a goal on Saturday.
And now he's returned to help his current club to the shock win of the weekend. The big defender, who continues his career despite suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, said: "It was 17 years to the day since I came here on trial driven to the ground by Hearts caretaker boss Peter Houston.
"Falkirk signed me after that and I have a lot to thank this club because it helped me in my career. Now it's just a case of playing on for as long as I can.
"Earlier in the season I wasn't getting a game and my role was to help from the sidelines, but either way, I'm just going to try and help the club."
