A series of 4-fluoronicotinanilides was synthesized and shown to be novel, potent, and selective inhibitors against GRO-alpha-driven human neutrophil chemotaxis.

Compounds of this class may be useful for the treatment of inflammatory, autoimmune, and allergic disorders.
