Phillip Cooper, president, Cooper Pest Control, is preparing once again to ride his bike 150 miles (from Cherry Hill to Ocean City, NJ and back) as part of a fundraising effort in support of Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Phil and daughter Samantha, age 10, will be participating in the Delaware Valley MS 150 City to Shore Bike Ride (MS150) on Sept. 20. This is the 10th consecutive year Phil has participated in the event and the third straight year for Samantha. Team Cooper’s goal is to raise $30,000 this year. Last year Cooper Pest Control was the No.1 fundraiser in Delaware Valley.
“This ride is very important to me, as I know how terrible this disease can be,” Cooper said. “My friends with this disease still battle its effects and we hope for a cure.”
Cooper added that the entire Copper Pest Control staff gets involved with this fundraising effort and that the company also provides yellow jacket trapping on the day of the event to ensure that the 6,000-plus riders do not suffer from bee stings.
