IT’S a little late for the festive season, but Father Christmas is bringing a special message to the Internet for Multiple Sclerosis sufferers and their families, with the help of a Bideford woman. Claire Cooper, 31, is herself an MS sufferer — and writes stories as a hobby.

In a bid to explain her symptoms to her seven-year-old son, she has written a festive story in which Santa is a also a sufferer. Far from being sad, it is full of fun. But it delivers the message Claire is trying to get across not only to her own son, but to raise awareness of the illness for others. Now the story is on the official MS website at www.mstrust.co.uk
