Multiple Sclerosis Ireland now has community workers in each health-board region. They provide personal support to those with MS and information to employers and other health professionals.

Details of the roles of MS community workers, as well as those of other health professionals dealing with MS patients in the community and in hospitals, are included in a new booklet, A Guide For People With Multiple Sclerosis And Their Carers On The Multi-professional Team.

Contact MS Ireland at 01-2694599 for a free copy.

The organisation's helpline, on 1850-233233, operates from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
