Experiments on an innovative diagnostic test which provides monitoring
for multiple sclerosis have produced positive results. The test, which
was developed by a group of Florence based researchers, is called "MS Pepkit"
and is based on a substance, glycopeptis CSF114, which shows the presence
of antibodies linked to the course of the disease. The results of the experiments
will be presented tomorrow, at the symposium "Future directions in multiple
sclerosis" by two of the researchers on the team, Anna Maria Papini and
Francesco Lolli.
