April 5, 2002
Spring is the time for moving forward more than just our clocks. On Thursday, April 18, MS Learn Online - the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's internet educational program - will present "Moving Forward … A Program for People Newly Diagnosed with MS."
Loren Rolak, MD, Director of the Marshfield Multiple Sclerosis Center in Marshfield, WI, will speak on medical aspects of MS. Beverly Noyes, PhD, Director, Health and Independence Programs, National MS Society, will discuss the emotional, familial, and employment impact of an MS diagnosis. She will also describe the programs offered by the National MS Society that lessen this impact. Participants in the interactive program can e-mail presenters questions for discussion.
An invaluable resource for people with MS as well as their friends and
families, MS Learn Online programs are presented live the third Thursday
of the month at 8:30 PM EST. They can either be viewed live the day of
the program or accessed from the archive on the National MS Society website
select "Educational Programs"). Free audio software, Media Player, can
easily be downloaded from the site.
