








Afferent nerves are one of the two types of peripheral nerves (those not in the brain or spinal cord) - the other type of nerves are called efferent nerves.
Afferent nerves are those that carry impulses to the central nervous system - the sensory nerves.
Efferent nerves are those that carry impulses from the
central nervous system - the motor nerves.
